What We Fix
A built-in wall oven is a sealed heating cavity run entirely by its control board and sensors, which means most failures announce themselves as a fault code long before the oven quits outright. The trick is knowing when the code is telling the truth. We service single, double, and combination wall ovens across the high-end field.
- Single and double electric wall ovens
- Combination microwave-oven and steam-oven units
- Oven temperature sensors and cavity calibration
- Bake and broil elements, and convection element and fan
- Self-clean door-lock motors and lock switches
- Control boards, relay boards, and touch panels
- Door hinges, springs, and gaskets that leak heat
Common Problems We See
- Fault code on the display. Most often the temperature sensor, a shorted element, or the lock motor.
- Oven will not reach temperature. A weak element or a control that trips on a bad sensor reading.
- Door locked after self-clean. A lock motor or switch that did not release.
- Uneven or slow heating. A failing convection fan or a partly open element.
- Oven turns itself off. A thermal limit tripping on an overheat condition.
Typical Causes
Wall ovens fail through their sensors and elements far more often than their boards, but a shorted element or sensor can throw a code that looks like a dead control. A temperature sensor that has drifted out of range makes the board shut the oven down as a safety measure, and a self-clean cycle, which runs the cavity far hotter than baking, is the moment a marginal element or lock finally gives up. We read the code, verify the resistance of the sensor and element against spec, and only then replace, which keeps you from paying for a control board that was innocent.
Brands We Service
Wolf ovens are our specialty, and we also repair wall ovens from Wolf, Miele, Thermador, Gaggenau, Dacor, Monogram, and other high-end lines. See the full brands list.
Fault Reference
| Symptom | Likely Cause | What We Do |
|---|---|---|
| F-code on display | Sensor, element, or lock circuit fault | Read code, verify with meter, replace failed part |
| Will not reach set temp | Weak element or bad sensor reading | Ohm-test element and sensor, replace as needed |
| Door locked after clean | Lock motor or switch stuck | Release door, repair lock assembly |
| Uneven heating | Convection fan or partial element | Test fan and element, replace failed component |
| Oven shuts off mid-bake | Thermal limit tripping on overheat | Find heat source, replace limit and root cause |
