Bosch dishwashers are among the most common high-end dishwashers in Highlands Ranch kitchens, and their E-code family is well documented for a reason: most faults involve water getting somewhere it should not or not draining as it should. Clean filters and a dry base tray prevent the two codes we see most, E15 and E24.
The Units This Covers
Bosch 500, 800, and Benchmark dishwashers, Bosch wall ovens and ranges, and Benchmark induction cooktops.
Dishwasher, Where Most Upkeep Lives
- Clean the filter in the base of the tub regularly; a blocked filter drives drain faults and the E24 code.
- Keep the base dry and leak-free. The E15 code means the anti-flood float in the base tray has tripped on water, often from a small hose or seal leak.
- Clear the spray arm jets and wipe the door gasket.
- Descale periodically for Highlands Ranch's moderately hard water.
Ovens and Cooktops
- Check the oven against a thermometer and inspect the door gasket.
- On Benchmark induction, keep the glass and cooling vents clear.
| Code | Meaning | First Check |
|---|---|---|
| E15 | Water in the base tray, float tripped | Dry the base, find the leak source |
| E24 | Drainage blocked | Clean filter, check drain hose and pump |
| E22 | Filter or drainage restricted | Clean filter and sump |
| E09 | Heating element circuit | Needs technician testing |
When to Call
An E15 that returns after drying the base, an E24 that persists after cleaning the filter, or an E09 heating fault needs a technician. Our E15 guide and E24 guide cover the causes in detail.
